Who I Am as an Engineer

My engineering identity is rooted in one core belief: correctness is not a feature; it is a foundation. Speed matters. Scalability matters. Developer experience matters. But none of those things are worth anything if the system silently produces wrong results under concurrent writes, loses data during retries, or enters an inconsistent state after a crash. I have seen what happens when distributed systems are built without these guarantees, and I have spent most of my career building the kind of infrastructure that prevents those failure modes by design, not by accident.

I specialize in distributed job orchestration, state coordination, transactional systems, and platform reliability. I think deeply about how state machines should be modeled so invalid transitions are impossible, how idempotency keys prevent duplicate side effects under retries, how leasing semantics prevent duplicate execution across concurrent workers, and how audit trails need to be append-only from the start, not bolted on later. These are not academic interests. They are patterns I reach for because I have debugged the production incidents that happen when they are missing.

My primary technical stack centers on Go, Node.js, Python, and PostgreSQL. I reach for Go when I need explicit concurrency control, deterministic performance, and a small, auditable surface area. I reach for Node.js when I need a fast, event-driven runtime with a rich ecosystem for real-time or API-heavy workloads. I reach for Python when I need data pipelines, ML integrations, or rapid analysis tooling. And I reach for PostgreSQL as the single source of truth in almost every system I design, because a well-modeled relational schema with proper transactional semantics is one of the most powerful correctness tools available to a backend engineer.

My Career So Far

My journey into software engineering did not start with a corporate onboarding program. It started with curiosity, obsession, and a lot of production incidents that taught me more than any textbook could.

Early in my career, I was building fast: shipping features, learning frameworks, absorbing patterns. But the turning point came when I started owning systems end-to-end, understanding not just how to build a feature, but how to design the infrastructure behind it, how to reason about failure paths, and how to make architectural decisions I could defend six months later when the requirements changed, or the traffic tripled.

At FireCryptoNews, I was handed the keys to an entire platform as CTO and Lead Full-Stack Engineer. I architected a real-time cryptocurrency intelligence platform processing large-scale market data and news streams. I built resilient ingestion pipelines capable of operating continuously under adversarial conditions. I introduced caching, queuing, and streaming architectures that cut response times by over 60% under growing traffic. I established CI/CD workflows, engineering standards, and code review practices that improved team throughput and reduced the number of production regressions reaching users. That role taught me what it means to own a system, not just technically, but organizationally. You cannot just write good code. You have to build a team that writes good code.

At Myaza, I have been leading a production platform upgrade under active user traffic, which means no big-bang rewrites, no downtime windows, no "let us just deploy and see what happens." It means incremental, safe, reversible delivery with observability at every step. Across these roles and others, I have consistently operated at the intersection of platform ownership, system reliability, and careful architectural thinking. The problems have been different at every company, but the standard I hold myself to has stayed the same.

The Systems I Am Most Proud Of

Some engineers are proud of the companies they have worked for. I am proud of the specific problems I have solved and the specific systems I have built to solve them.

Distributed Job Orchestrator - Built in Go with PostgreSQL as the source of truth. This system implements explicit job state machines with deterministic transition logic, so invalid state changes are structurally impossible, not just guarded by application code, but enforced at the data model level. It uses leasing semantics to prevent duplicate execution across concurrent workers, a scheduler recovery mechanism to handle crashes and restart correctly, and retry, cancellation, and failure recovery paths that preserve system invariants even under partial failures. Every design decision was made with the question: What happens when this component crashes mid-operation? The answer is always: the system recovers correctly without human intervention.

Warehouse Management Platform (Invycore) - A multi-tenant warehouse management system with a deeply intentional data model. Inventory is modeled as state-separated units (available, reserved, damaged), so stock drift caused by concurrent mutations is impossible at the schema level. All inventory movements are written to an append-only stock ledger that provides a complete, tamper-evident audit trail. State-machine-driven workflows govern reservations, transfers, and returns with explicit approval and cancellation semantics. A Redis-backed idempotency layer prevents duplicate stock mutations under retries and network failures. Secure Digital Forensics Evidence System - Built with Node.js, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and Python. Computer-Assisted Learning System - A full-stack learning platform with a deterministic evaluation engine that does something most educational software does not: it explains why an answer is wrong, not just that it is wrong. Every piece of content, every configuration, every system behavior is controlled through an authenticated backend control plane, not hardcoded in the frontend, not managed through static files. The backend is built with NestJS and PostgreSQL, with Redis for caching and real-time state coordination. A WebSocket-based messaging system handles real-time communication and event propagation. The admin control panel gives immediate, consistent updates across all connected clients. Transactional email workflows are integrated via Resend. The entire system is deployed with CI/CD, monitoring, and analytics for continuous delivery and zero-downtime updates. You are looking at the output of this system right now.

How I Think About Technical Leadership

I have led engineering teams. I have mentored junior and mid-level engineers. I have owned technical strategy and architecture decisions for entire platforms. And through all of that, I have developed a clear point of view on what technical leadership actually means.

It does not mean being the smartest person in the room. It means raising the room's floor. The best technical leaders I have worked with were not distinguished by the gap between their ability and their team's. They were distinguished by how quickly they closed that gap. They reviewed code with the intent of teaching, not just correcting. They made architectural decisions transparently, explaining the tradeoffs so the team could learn to make similar decisions independently. They established standards not through mandates but through example.

That is the kind of leader I try to be. I write code that communicates intent clearly. I review code with the goal of improving the author's understanding, not just fixing the diff. I make architectural decisions I can explain, defend, and revise when the constraints change. And I push back on shortcuts that create long-term correctness problems, even when the short-term pressure to ship is real.

I believe engineering quality is a team property, not an individual one. A team with strong standards ships better software than a team of strong individuals with no shared standards. That is the culture I try to build wherever I work.

What I Am Looking For

I do my best work on problems that are genuinely hard: systems where correctness under concurrency actually matters, where failure recovery has to be designed in from the start, where the architecture decisions made today will still be load-bearing two years from now. I am most energized by work that sits at the intersection of distributed systems, platform reliability, and careful API design.

I am open to remote-first roles with teams that communicate with clarity and trust engineers to operate with autonomy. I have spent most of my career working across time zones with teams in the United States, the United Kingdom, and across Europe, and I have learned how to operate effectively in async-first environments without the productivity loss that can come from poor remote culture.

I am not looking for a job. I am looking for a problem worth solving and a team worth solving it with.
